Whey Protein > What and Source Recommendation.

Whey protein is a mixture of proteins isolated from whey, the liquid material created as a by-product of cheese production.

The proteins consist of α-lactalbumin, β-lactoglobulin, serum albumin and immunoglobulins.

Whey protein is commonly marketed as a dietary supplement, and various health claims have been attributed to it.

For muscle growth, whey protein has been shown to be slightly better compared to other types of protein, such as casein or soy.

The protein in cow's milk is 20% whey and 80% casein. The protein in human milk is 60% whey and 40% casein.

The protein fraction in whey constitutes approximately 10% of the total dry solids in whey.

This protein is typically a mixture of beta-lactoglobulin (~65%), alpha-lactalbumin (~25%), bovine serum albumin (~8%) (see also serum albumin), and immunoglobulins. These are soluble in their native forms, independent of pH.....Wikipedia

Matcha Tea ..... Why Matcha Tea is so good for you.

Amongst its many health benefits, matcha…

  • Is packed with antioxidants including the powerful EGCg
  • Boosts metabolism and burns calories
  • Detoxifies effectively and naturally
  • Calms the mind and relaxes the body
  • Is rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins
  • Enhances mood and aids in concentration
  • Provides vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium
  • Prevents disease
  • Lowers cholesterol and blood sugar
Matcha tea is an easy and simple way to add powerful health benefits to your everyday diet.

What are green tea catechins, and why are they so important in anti-cancer diets?

Matcha tea contains a unique, potent class of antioxidant known as catechins, which aren’t found in other foods. In particular, the catechin EGCg (epigallocatechin gallate) provides potent cancer-fighting properties.
Most importantly, EGCg and other catechins counteract the effects of free radicals from the likes of pollution, UV rays, radiation, and chemicals, which can lead to cell and DNA damage. Since over 60% of the catechins in matcha are actually EGCg, a daily matcha regimen can help restore and preserve the body’s integral well-being and balance. Read more on our Change The Odds Page.
